-Guyton- Mrs. Minnie Jean Arnold Rollins, 91, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2020, at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Ga.
Mrs. Minnie was born on March 19, 1929 in Conklin, New York to Fred E. and Marquerite Arnold. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, and sewing. She also had a great love for animals, and could often be found feeding birds, deer, and any stray that wandered into her yard.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred E. and Marquerite Arnold; sisters, Helen Jane Devereaux and Janice Proper; and brother, Fred E. Arnold, Jr.
Survivors include: her loving husband of 70 years, Freddie E. Rollins; daughter, Jennie Smith of Guyton; sons, William “Bill” E. Rollins (Toni) of Guyton, Michael Rollins (Joann) of Columbus, Ohio, and David Rollins (Joyce) of Pooler; and 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10am on Monday, January 11, 2021, in the Guyton Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, social distancing and face mask are required.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask for donations to be made in Mrs. Minnie’s memory to the Effingham Animal Shelter, 307 Highway 119 South Springfield, GA 31329.
