-Guyton- Mr. James Carlton "Jimmy" Anderson, 66, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina. Jimmy was born in Savannah, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam Conflict and was a civil service employee at Hunter Army Airfield. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a member of Countryside Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Mr. Anderson is preceded in death by his father, James L. Anderson; mother and father - in - law, Betty and Harold Mixon and grandson, Ayden Anderson. Survivors include: his loving wife, Tina Mixon Anderson of Guyton; two sons, Bret Anderson (Liz) of Faulkville and Bryan Anderson (DeSchell) of Atlanta; mother, Nell Anderson of Guyton; sister, Kay Lively (Larry) of Guyton; brother, Terry Anderson (Beth) of Metter; seven grandchildren, Garret, Gracy, Gavin, Ashton, Avery, Alayna and Addy. Visitation will be held at Countryside Baptist Church on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 2 - 4 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 4 p.m. Burial will follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Faith in Action Fund, Countryside Baptist Church, 1201 Noel C.
