Mr. Mitchel Lamb

-Rincon- Mr. Mitchel Lamb,79, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at Effingham County Hospital. Mr. Lamb was born in Waynesboro, Georgia but lived in Effingham County for a number of years. He was an inspector for Great Dane Trailers, a member of the First Christian Church of Rincon, and was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Lamb is preceded in death by a son, Randy Lamb. Survivors include: his wife of 60 years, Betty Lamb; son, Donald Lamb (Barbara) of Rincon; daughters, Linda Oglesby (Wendell) of Rincon and Michelle McKuhen (Willie) of Rincon; daughter-in-law, Cindy Lamb of Villa Rica, Georgia; brothers, Talmadge Hammock of Calfornia, Robert Hammock of Waynesboro, Joe Hammock of Waynesboro and Bud Hammock of Girard, Georgia; sisters, Angela Skinner of Sylvania, Alice Thompson of Sylvania and Bertha Landon of Millen; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Riggs Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
