-Guyton- Mr. Richard Smith, 61, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at his residence. Mr. Smith was born in Savannah, Georgia but resided in Deleon Springs, Florida where he worked for Americrown Sericve Corp, part of International Speedway "NASCAR" for 21 years and retired as the director of concessions at the International Speedway "NASCAR". He was a veteran of the United States Airforce serving in Vietnam and was affiliated with the Native American Culture. Survivors include: his wife, Mary Smith of Guyton; Jeremy Lee Smith (Alysha) of Lake Helen, Florida; daughter, Rebecca Ann Bell (Chris Puckett) of Deleon Springs, Florida; brother, Brooks Smith of Orange City, Florida; four sisters, Marjorie Finley of Savannah, Marie Raum of Savannah, Carolyn Gavin of Blitchton and Pat Cauley of Savannah; grandchildren, Brandon, Raven, Jessup, Payton and Mason; and 1 great grandson, Channing. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Riggs Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at 2 p.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery with military honors.
