-Springfield - The earthly life of Clyde Lois Kessler Dickey, age 96, ended on August 28, 2014 at Effingham County Extended Care Facility with her family at her side. Born on January 8, 1918 to Angus and Ethel Kessler, Clyde, along with her twin brother Carl Kessler, was the oldest of fifteen children. On August 27, 1941, Clyde married Reginald Freeman Dickey and shared fifty-two wonderful years together before his death. Clyde loved and lived life everywhere she went. She was an exceptionally sweet and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Clyde is survived by sons, Reginald Jr. (Gail), Roger (Donna), Ritchie (Pat), daughter Candy (Mike) Stone; brothers, Everete, Dennis, Allen Kessler; sisters, Myrtle Hall, Lennis Cooler, Gwen Hunt, Irma Wilson, Patsy Wilson; and sister-in-law Elsie Engalange. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grand- children, four great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Reg, daughter Nancy McCall, brothers Carl, Clarence, Erwin and Leland Kessler, sisters Winifred Thigpen and Mildred Barnes. Clyde was deeply loved by her immediate and extended family. While she surely will be missed by her family and friends, her spirit is indelibly printed on their lives and none of them will ever forget her. Visitation will be held 4:00 to 5:00 pm on Saturday, August 30, 2014, followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00 pm. Both the Visation and Memorial Service will be held at Oak Grove Church of Christ, 306 East Fourth Street, Rincon, GA.
