Mrs. Diane Mincey

Springfield - Mrs. Diane Mincey, 64, passed away Friday. March 6, 2015, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro, Georgia. Mrs. Mincey was a school bus driver for the Effingham County Board of Education for a number of years and was a member of Turkey Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include: son, Mike Abbot of Deepstep, Georgia; two step-sons, Alan Mincey of Springfield and Abram Mincey, Jr. of Denver, Colorado; sister, Billie Jean Palmer of Brunswick, Georgia; niece, Denise Cole of Hinesville, Georgia; cousin, Juanita Glisson of Ellabell, Georgia and six grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Monday, March 9, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Turkey Branch Baptist Church on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Glenn Langer and Rev. Al Usher officiating. Mrs. Mincey will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
