Mrs. Loraine Butler Edwards

Clyo - Mrs. Loraine Butler Edwards, 85, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015, at Ogeechee Area Hospice. Mrs. Edwards was born in Lyons. Ga., but lived in Effingham County for a number of years, she was a homemaker and member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Springfield. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter V. Edwards, and a son Earl Edwards. Survivors include: four sons, Roger Edwards (Belinda), Keith Edwards (Dana), Wayne Edwards (Pamela) all of Clyo and Randall Edwards (Pattie) of Meldrim; one daughter, Joletta Phillips (Wayne) of Clyo; brother, Bob Butler of Athens, Tx., Half-sister, Viola Harvey of Meldrim; 15 grandchildern, 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Visitation will be held Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Riggs Funeral Home.
