Mrs. Wanda Belle Meador Edwards

Guyton - Mrs. Wanda Belle Meador Edwards, 87, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017, at her daughters residence.
Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker, loved her Savior and Jesus Christ. She loved doing things with her family, her church family at Elam Egypt, and her friends. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and worked at church camp. She volunteered for many years at the senior citizen center doing meals on wheels and was on the executive board of concreted citizens. She loved to travel and read. Her love and
kindness was an inspiration to all.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Brennie Lee Carson and Irene May Carson; brothers, William H. Carson, Robert L. Carson and David G. Carson and husband, James F. Edwards.
Survivors include her children, Robert Lee Meador (Sharon) of Clyo, Virginia Mae Fail(Lavon) of Springfield, Mary Louise Jones (Jerry) of Guyton, John Allen Meador (Tammy) of Clyo; sister, Florence Coen of Ohio and brother, John Carson (Donna) of Ohio; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017, from 6-8 at Riggs Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Elam-Egypt Baptist Church with interment to follow in the Foy Cemetery.
Memorials maybe made to Meals on Wheels, 601 South Laurel Street, Springfield, Georgia 31329 or to Elam-Egypt Baptist Church, 2166 Egypt Ardmore Road, Guyton, Georgia 31312.
