Mykel Shannon Davis, loving father and fiancée, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at the age of 45 surrounded by his family.
God gave the world the gift of laughter and love on April 16, 1975 when Mykie was born. Mykie was a proud patriot and Navy veteran, and raised three beautiful daughters, all while establishing himself as a master craftsman in the plumbing industry. Mykie touched so many in his own special way with his unique character and sense of humor. He was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and willingness to help anyone in need. Mykie had a passion for the outdoors and always found peace in nature, especially on a dirt road ride. Due to Mykie’s humor and wittiness, you would always hear those closest to him say, “That boy ain’t right, but he wasn’t wrong.”
Mykie is survived by his fiancée, Heather Thompson; daughters, Alexis (Josh) Gibbons, Brooke Davis, Cayla (Trey) Davis, Hannah Thompson, and Emily Thompson; as well as grandchildren, Brennan Gibbons, JennaBelle Stone, Macie Gibbons, Karsyn Gibbons, and Jaxton Payne. Mykie is also survived by his parents, Michael and Tina Davis, Tom and Brenda West; grandmother, Velma Davis; aunt, Sandy Crawford; cousin, Jason (Ashley) Perry, and dog, Skeeter.
As Mykie would always say, “If you don’t know, you better ask somebody.”
A private family memorial will take place on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made towards Mykie's medical expenses by going to their go fund me page, https://www.gofundme.com/f/memorial-fund-for-mykie-davis?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1.
