Mrs. Myrtle Kessler Hall,97, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, at Effingham Care Center. She leaves behind a legacy woven from the threads of love, faith, and devotion.
Myrtle was a kind and gentle spirit, who found profound happiness in spending time with her family. Her unwavering love for the Lord was an integral part of her life, and she was a proud member of Oak Grove Church of Christ. As a devoted homemaker, Myrtle poured her heart into nurturing her family, filling their home with her warmth and the delightful aromas of her delicious pies and pound cakes. In her free time, Myrtle enjoyed writing poetry, allowing her creative expressions to shine through her words. Additionally, her love for music was evident in her fondness for singing hymns and patriotic songs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Hall; parents, Angus and Ethel Kessler; and siblings, Carl, Clyde, Clarence, Winifred, Everette, Erwin, Mildred, Dennis, Lennis, Gwen, Allen, Irma, Leland, and Patsy.
Survivors include her sons, Stanley Hall (Sherry) and Ronald Hall (Ellie); daughters, Cheryl Masters and Joan Davis (Dennis); and grandchildren, Craig Davis (Meredith), Shane Davis (Marilyn), Kelly Hall and Kyle Hall.
Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Oak Grove Church of Christ with burial to follow in the Rincon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Mrs. Myrtle’s memory to Oak Grove Church of Christ, to your charity of choice or to just go out and simply perform a random act of kindness.
