Patrick Walter Gnann “Bubba”, 35, of Clyo, passed away on Thursday, March 27 2025 at UM Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland.
He was born in Savannah, Georgia to parents, Clyde Thomas "Tommy" and Kay Dyer Gnann. Patrick spent most of his life in Clyo, Georgia until the passing of his parents. He later moved to Warner Robbins, Georgia for several years until more recently moving to White Plains, Maryland.
Patrick was an alumna of Effingham County High School class of 2009. Due to his physical disability, Patrick was unable to work in a regular capacity. Rather, he spent his days bringing joy and fulfillment to relatives and friends. Patrick was known for his exceptional memory of important dates and facts. He enjoyed traveling with his family and would often engage in conversation with anyone. He was a remarkable person who never stopped dreaming of things he wanted to accomplish. Being the proud son of a Vietnam Veteran, Patrick had true admiration and respect for those who served in the military. He was a sports fan of the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves, and the Georgia Bulldogs. Patrick’s other true love was going deer hunting with his brother and nephew. Despite his physical challenges, Patrick was a beacon of light to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Surviving are his sister Katy (Wendell) Noble; brother, Thomas Gnann (Ashley Giles); nephew, Wendell Noble III; nephew, Kenyon Castle; niece, Kholayni Cooper; nephew, Thomas Gnann, Jr.; aunt, Julia Dyer Strickland; aunt, Cindy (Gerald) Townsend; aunt, Agnes Woods; cousin, Jamie (Scott) Gray; cousin; Kelly (Matt) Cline; cousin, Billy (Robin) Dyer; cousin, Tina Nesmith; and cousin, Tonia (Tony) Stagni.
Visitation will be from held 4p.m. to 6p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Clyo United Methodist Church followed by interment at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Springfield, Georgia.
