Penny Reese Love

Penny Reese Love, 56, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Effingham County Hospital. She was born on December 28, 1967, in Savannah to the late Loren and Virginia Exley and lived Effingham County for many years. 

Penny will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and the joy found in spending time with them. Her warm and kind-hearted nature made everyone feel welcome in her presence, and she had a special talent for always putting others before herself.

In her free time, Penny found happiness in simple pleasures such as relaxing in comfy clothes, watching soap operas, engaging on Facebook, and playing Candy Crush. However, her true happiness stemmed from the adventures she embarked on with her loved ones - whether it was camping under the stars or casting a line while fishing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Virginia Exley; and son, Brandon Reese. 

Penny leaves behind her loving husband, David Love; son, Codie Reese (Tabitha) of Guyton; daughter, Holli Cowart (Zachary) of Guyton; brother, Derrick Exley (Meloney) of Guyton; sisters, Connie Clifton (Rick) or Richmond Hill and Robbin Exley of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; grandchildren, Brandon Reese, Knox Cowart, and Allison Cowart; and a number of extended family members and friends. 

Services will be private.
