Ray Arlie Chambers, 58, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023, at his home in Guyton, Georgia.
Ray was born on January 28, 1965, in Savannah, Ga and lived in Savannah most of his life. He moved to Tennessee for a number of years before returning to Savannah. Ray was a master carpenter and a jack of all trades. Ray was a little league coach for Bloomingdale Recreation for 3 years. He loved to tell jokes and make people laugh, and was always there with a helping hand.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray E. and Wanda L. Chambers.
Survivors include: his children, Chris Chambers, Amanda Williams, Zach Chambers, Kenny Giles, Jessica Schoonover, and Tucker Chambers; brother, Butch Chambers; sisters, Nikki Canales; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and many cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, July 21, 2023, in Greenwich Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations be made towards the funeral expenses.
