Reta Marcell Burnett

-Springfield- Mrs. Reta Marcell Burnett, 65, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, October 16, 2018.

Mrs. Reta was born in Sylvania, Georgia on March 2, 1953 to Joseph and Mollie Howard. She lived in Springfield for many years and enjoyed being a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mollie; sister, Mary Davis; half brothers, Lavert Howard, JA Howard, Dewitt Howard, and Latrell Howard; and half sister, Mardell Mill

Survivors include: her husband, Larry G. Burnett; daughters, Tanya Burnett of Springfield, Tiffany Edwards (Glenn) of Springfield and Heather Widener of Springfield; three grandchildren, Brandon G. Edwards (Brittany) of Easley, SC, William Layton of Springfield and Harley Layton of Springfield; great grandchild, Rylee Wright; and siblings, Lois Rahn of Rincon, Bobby Howard of Sylvania, Catherine Howard of Springfield, Shirley Wilson of Allendale, SC, Truman Howard of Statesboro, Tony Howard of Allendale, SC, and Vickie Ramsey of McDonough, Ga; and half siblings, Louise Steed of Springfield and Onnie Arnsdorff of Springfield.

Visitation will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 10:30AM to Noon with funeral services to follow in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Silver Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
