Richard "Ric" Fraker

Richard Fraker, 77, passed away at his residence on the morning of Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

Ric served in the Navy and fought in the Vietnam war. He was a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge, attaining the rank of Master Mason. Richard loved camping, boating, and hiking and shared this with the Boy Scouts as Scout Master for Troop 56 of Isle of Hope Methodist Church. He was a member of the Geechee Sailing Club and a member of Silverhill Methodist in Springfield, Ga. He loved dancing, adventure, exploring and forging new experiences. He was a master poker player and quite deadly with a paintball gun. Ric loved his family and was a dad to all.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Richard was a devoted father and a loving husband to Patricia Sullivan Fraker for 45 years until her passing in December of 2017.

He is survived by his sister, Julia Fraker Remley of Fort Worth, Tx; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Ael Fraker of Cummins, Ga; grandchildren, Alex and Andrew both of Cummins, Ga.; son, Ben Fraker of Savannah, Ga; and loving sweetheart, Carol Smith of Rincon.

A celebration of life will be held at Silverhill United Methodist Church on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 2pm.
