Richard Wayne Gentzel

-Rincon-Richard Wayne Gentzel, age 71, passed away September 8, 2017 at his home in Rincon, GA.
He was born on December 12, 1945 in West Palm Beach, FL, and was the son of the late Willard and Patricia Gentzel.
He started in the building trade soon after graduating from South Dade Senior High School in Homestead, FL, and remained in the trade as a carpenter, foreman, and construction superintendent most of his life. He loved his work and passed on this talent to his two sons of whom he was very proud.
He is survived by his wife of almost 53 yrs, Carole Gentzel, two sons, Richard E. Gentzel (wife Donna) of Jacksonville, FL; Wayne A. Gentzel (wife Janice) of Homestead, FL; his two sisters, Patricia Wright (husband Jerry) of Sebring, FL; Eugenia Schafstall (husband Jack) of Zephryhills, FL; and his brother John Gentzel of Homestead, FL; one uncle, Herbert Harper, four grandchildren, Jacob Hendon, Mark Kick, Brianna Norman, and Alexis Gentzel; and four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and other loving family and friends who will miss him.
His cremation was handled by Riggs Funeral Home in Guyton, Georgia.
