Samuel "Sammy" Ridge Screws, Jr.

-Eldora- Samuel "Sammy" Ridge Screws, Jr., 40, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA.

Sammy was born in Hollywood, Florida on July 3, 1981, to Sam and Patricia Screws and was a lifelong resident of the Eldora Community. He had a great love for the outdoors and could often be found outside fishing. Known for his willingness to always help others, Sammy was a hardworking man that could always light up a room with his infectious smile. He loved God and his family more than anything in this world.

Survivors include: his daughter, Taylor Sloan; mother, Patricia Screws; father, Sam Screws; sister and brother-in-law, Brandy and Christopher Dampier; brother, Trentin Screws; sister, Brianna Screws; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, from 5-7pm at Carlson and Riggs Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Eldora Cemetery.
