Sandra Piera Griffin

Sandra Piera Griffin, 77, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Effingham County Hospital. Born on January 2, 1947, in Italy, Sandra lived in Effingham County for a number of years. She brought warmth and kindness to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. 

Those who loved her will fondly remember her as a devoted family member. Sandra always prioritized spending quality time with her family, nurturing strong bonds and encouraging closeness among loved ones. Her selflessness and dedication to fostering family unity were hallmarks of her character, making her an anchor in their lives.

In addition to her family, Sandra had a passion for gardening and often found joy in nurturing her plants, which reflected her nurturing spirit. She also adored spending time at the ocean, where the gentle waves and salty air brought her tranquility and happiness. Sandra’s love also extended to her beloved pets, who were an integral part of her life and received her abundant affection.

Sandra leaves behind her daughter, Renee Preston (Marshall) of Guyton; sons, Joseph Griffin and Mark Griffin (Tracey) of Massachusetts; brothers, Charles Ponte(Rhonda) of Florida and John Vitale of Massachusetts; and grandchildren, Marshall, Marcus, Ashley, Justin, and Sarah.
