Sandra Faye Love Polk

Sandra Faye Love Polk passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 in her home in Metter, Georgia at 68 years of age after a battle with health issues. She was being cared for by Judy Bandy and Debby Woods.

All that knew her called her "Sunshine" because when she walked into a room everything had a way of getting brighter. Some knew her as Sandy, who never wore shoes and was always somewhere laying in the sunshine. She loved to collect sunshines and had a rare collection of them that she had close to her heart. Her great grandchildren knew her as Grandma and loved to play with her jewelry for hours.

She was the daughter of Johnnie and Zelle Love and widow of Robert Steven Polk since 2009.

She is also preceded in death by: her husband, Robert Steven Polk; father and mother, Johnnie and Zelle Love; and her loving dog, Trixie.

Sandra is survived by: brother, Johnnie Love; daughters, Cindy Jenkins and Natalie Barnes; son, Franklin Hodges; grandchildren, April, Andrea, Andrew, Delena, Justin, Kenneth, Naudia, and Kaitlyn; nephews, Brandon, Johnathan, and David; nieces, Christinia and Summer; and a great number of great grandchildren.

Sandra Love's life was celebrated on Thursday, January 31, 2019 in a private ceremony held at Riggs Funeral Home.
