-Pineora- Susan Marlene Tuttle Altman, 59, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2015, at Candler Hospital. She was an Effingham County native, graduated from Effingham County High School in 1975 and was awarded the "Daughter's of the American Revolution Award" metal in 1975. She worked for MPC in Pembroke for a short time before going to work at Rincon Sportsware for 4 i�½_ years. Growing up Mrs. Susan was a member of the Pineora Holy Church of God where she loved to sing gospel songs and play the accordion while her late mother played the guitar. She is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, 11 months and 11 days, Gilford Wayne Altman; father, Arthur Henry "Buck" Tuttle; mother, Myrttie Louise Huncke Tuttle; grandparents, John H. & Corrie Davis Tuttle and Robert Wendell & Janie E. Hargroves Huncke; brother, Arthur Lavon Tuttle and baby niece, Kelly Denise Tuttle. Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Glenda T. and Kenneth "Red" Hosmer of Grantville, Georgia; niece, Martha Louise George; four nephews, Joseph Georgia(Stephanie) of Pheniox City, Alabama, Brian Lavon Tuttle of Honduras, Michael Rollie Tuttle and Paul Henry Tuttle both of Swainsboro, Georgia; grandnieces, Hannah Luke, Teagan George, Laura Tuttle, Chelsey Tuttle and Miranda Tuttle and grandnephews, Kyle Luke, Chris Tuttle, Sean Tuttle and John Paul Tuttle.
