Thomas Coy Conley

Mr. Thomas Coy Conley, aged 79, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2023. He was born on August 26, 1944, in Bulloch County, GA, and later settled in Effingham County, GA where he raised his family.

Throughout his life, Mr. Conley cherished his loving marriage to his devoted wife of 57 years, Mrs. Linda Barrow Conley. Together, they built a life filled with joy and love.

Professionally, Mr. Conley dedicated 28 years of service to the Savannah Sugar Refinery before retiring. His commitment and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on his colleagues and peers.

He was an active member of Maranatha Family Church in Rincon and found solace in his faith. In his free time, Mr. Conley enjoyed fishing trips that allowed him to disconnect from the world and appreciate the beauty of nature. He also found pleasure in playing Bingo and Wii bowling, as well as spending quality time with his beloved family.

Mr. Conley will be deeply missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his loving wife Linda Conley, their children Darrell Conley (Paula Conley), Melissa Bircher (Dave Bircher), Christina Exley (Corey Exley), and Derrick Conley (Charity Conley). He is also survived by his sisters Faye Crosby, Tina Hart, Diane Melancon, and Nona Jane Martin; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am-12:00pm on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home. 

A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm following the visitation in the chapel of the funeral home.
