-Guyton- Thomas Joseph Scruggs, 24, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017, at his residence.
Thomas was born on July 24, 1992 in Savannah, Georgia. He had lived in Effingham County for a number of years and worked for Auto Shine in Rincon, Georgia.
Survivors include: his mother and step-father, Nicole and John Davis of Guyton; father and step-mother, Jamie and Dawn Scruggs of South Carolina; girlfriend, Desi of Valdosta; children, Austin Scruggs, Brice Scruggs and Scarlet Scruggs; brothers, Tyler Scruggs and Jacob Scruggs (Mabry); sister, Katlin Day; step-sisters, Mallory Lynch and Marissa Lynch; step-brother, Robert Lynch and Joe Davis; half-sister, Ashley Parker; maternal grandmother, MaryAnn Vines of Savannah; maternal grandfather, Hiram Kennedy (Gay) of Savannah; a number of aunts, uncles nieces, nephews and cousins; and best friends, Chase Stayton, Brandon and Scott.
Memorial Services will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 2 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to come to the Davis and Scruggs Residence after the memorial service.
