-Guyton- Mrs. Vickie Marie Derverges, 58, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018.
Mrs. Vickie was born on September 27, 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Virgil and Norma Jean Swafford. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was also anxiously awaiting the birth of her first great grandbaby. Vickie enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, crocheting, sewing, and soaking up the sun at the river.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Derverges, Jr.; parents, Virgil and Norma Jean Swafford; and sister, Becki Lucas.
Survivors include: her daughters, Mindy Saxon (Jimmy) of Guyton, Jessie Sentney (Ashley Stephens) of Guyton, and Mary Sentney (Brian Farmer) of Guyton; brother, Steven Hughes (Debbie) of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters, Cynthia Leadmon (Kenny) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Lori Blackston of Savannah, and Karen Cowden of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Lauren, David, Dezi, Cody, Chase, Brandi, and Breanna; best friend, Laurie Vallejera; family friend, Tom Nerich; and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 4, 2018, at Liberty Christian Fellowship in Guyton, Georgia from 4 - 5PM with services to follow at 5PM.
