Vonzie Annette Briglin

Vonzie Annette Briglin, 74, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Memorial Hospital, with her loving family by her side.

Mrs. Annette was born in August, Georgia on December 29, 1948 and lived in Effingham County for many years. She was a member of Elam Egypt Baptist Church and played a very active role in the life of the church. Annette will forever be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Vonzie Smith; stepmother, Jean Smith Parker; brothers, Infant Ernest “Eddie” Smith, Jr., Ken Smith, and Ronnie Smith; and sisters, Pam Griffin, and Marlene Wade.

Survivors include her loving husband of 49½years, Dean Briglin; son, Dwayne Briglin; granddaughter, Vanessa Briglin; grandson, Dustin Briglin (Cayli); sisters, Faith Cook (Jim) and Suzi Davis (Chris); brothers, Barry Smith (Kira) and Eddie Smith; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Elam Egypt Baptist Church on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 10-11am with a funeral service to follow at 11am. Interment will be held at a later date in Foy Cemetery.
