Walter Bryon Whipple

-Guyton- Mr. Walter Bryon Whipple, 76, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at his residence.

Mr. Whipple was born in Mecosta County, Michigan on April 10, 1942 to Burdette, Sr. and Marguerette Whipple. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and handing out gospel tracks on Tybee Island. Helping others and enjoying a good cup of coffee at Waffle House brought him much joy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Burdette and Marguerette Whipple; brother, Burdette Whipple, Jr.; and sister, Barbara Griffith.

Survivors include: his wife of 53 years, Wanda Whipple; son, Walter Timothy Whipple (Elizabeth) of Port Wentworth; daughters, Elizabeth Kress (Jim) of Guyton and Rebecca Jerome (Patrick) of Rincon; sister, Connie Loviska of Otsego, Michigan; grandchildren, Patricia, Christopher, Nolan, Ryan, Maddux, Shylah Mae, Grayson, Jazira, and Liam; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Channing; and a number nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 6 – 8PM. Funeral Services will be held at Maranatha Assembly of God in Rincon, Georgia on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 11AM with burial to follow in Hillcrest Abby West Cemetery.
