Rincon

William "Troy" Deese ,53, a beloved father and grandfather passed away on Tuesday.  February 6, 2024 at Effingham County Hospital. Troy was born in Bartow, Florida on September 5, 1970 and lived in Rincon, GA for most of his life.

From a young age, Troy had a strong work ethic and passion for the concrete industry. At the tender age of 16, he began his journey by diving into the world of concrete. Throughout his life, he worked tirelessly and became the proud owner of Affordable Concrete. Not only did he leave an indelible mark on the industry but also built a reputation for himself as a reliable and skilled professional.

Troy's jovial nature made him the life of every gathering. Family and friends would describe him as "The Life of the Party"  and one could frequently find him at Doodles with his laughter filling the room.

Outside of work and social gatherings, Troy found solace in spending time with his loved ones. He deeply cherished moments spent with family and friends, often engaging in memorable conversations by the glow of a comforting fire. These moments were dear to his heart and exemplified his ability to create lasting connections. Throughout his life journey, one of Troy's proudest accomplishments was being a Shriner and  member of the Effingham Shrine Club. This organization allowed him to give back to those less fortunate and showcase his philanthropic nature. He was one of the most generous and giving persons one would ever meet.

Troy is survived by his mother, Janice Hughey; significant other,  Amanda Harris; his children: Troy "TJ" Deese(Kelly), MaKayla Godwin(Colby), Jeremy Deese(McKaylin), Amy Tenney(Bobby), Laurie Mills(Robert), Angel Harris(Matt), and Hunter Harris; his granchildren: Morgan, Shauna, Kam, Treelynn, Gatlin, Leighton, Layne, Braydon, Mavrick, C.J., Corbin, Olivia, Shelby, Tyler, Riley, and Lela, and 4 Great Grands. He also leaves a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In Lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made in Troy's memory to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children P.O. Box 1525, Ranson, WV 25438.
