Wilson "Peck" Crawford Lawson, Sr
March 15, 1925 — March 23, 2018
-Guyton-Mr. Wilson "Peck" Crawford Lawson, Sr. passed away on March 23, 2018. He was born near Portal, Georgia on March 15, 1925. He was 93 years old.
Peck retired from Overnite Trucking with 10 years of service. He also worked many years for RC Cola, Trailways, and Arden Ice Company. He was a member of Guyton United Methodist Church and the Men's Bible Class. He was a former member of the Methodist Campground Board and an original member of the Effingham Civil Defense. Peck enjoyed farming and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Uldine Scruggs Lawson; parents, Spiers Lonnie Lawson and Carrie Mae Heath Lawson; daughters, Lydia Louise Lawson and Nina Mae Lawson Wallace; granddaughter, Lydia Louise Wallace Walton; and sister and brother-in-law, Willie Mae and Snowball Burnette.
Survivors include: his wife of eight years, Joan Corley Lawson; sons, Wilson C. Lawson, Jr. (Vivian) and Walter Darnell Lawson, Sr. (Roseann); son-in-law, Randall Wallace; sister, Geneva Boyles (Leonard); step-daughters, Lisa McMahon and Arleen Scarbrough; grandchildren, David Walton, Krista Wallace Swenson (Rory), John Wallace, Jr. (Stephanie), Michael Nettles, Nicole Lawson Hildebrant (Benji), Samantha Lawson Miller (Scott), Walt Lawson (April) and Ben Lawson; step-grandchildren, Ashley and Joel Marlow; great grandchildren, Adam and Leah Walton, Timothy, Allie, Zachery, and Mason Swenson, Rebekah Wallace Roe (Barrett), Meghan Wallace, Eryn and Brice Nettles, Bailee and Brock Hildebrant, Tucker and Tanner Miller, Tyler and Morgan Lawson, Colton and Luke Lawson; step great grandchildren, Kelsi and TJ Alexander; great great grandchildren, twins, Wren and Nash Roe and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extended a special thanks to his medical care givers.

Visitation will be held at Riggs Funeral Home on Sunday, March 25, 2018, from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018, at 2PM in the chapel of Riggs Funeral Home. Interment will be held in the Guyton Cemetery.
